A photovoltaic module is expected to generate for 25 years, so its sealant must survive the same service life outdoors. The critical parameters are adhesion retention after damp-heat testing (85°C / 85% RH), resistance to potential-induced degradation, and no corrosion of the aluminium frame or junction box contacts. Neutral cure chemistry is mandatory.
