FAQs — PR-228
What is PR-228 used for?
Bathroom mirror installation, decorative mirror mounting, glass shelf and cabinet sealing, and tile and glass decoration.
Why does a mirror need a special sealant?
Mirror backing is a thin silver or copper layer protected by paint. Acid cure sealants release acetic acid that attacks that backing and produces the black edge creep seen on failed mirror installations. PR-228 is neutral cure and non-corrosive to mirror backing.
Can it be used on ordinary glass too?
Yes. It adheres well to glass and ceramics and is suitable for decorative glass, glass shelving and cabinet work, not only mirrors.
Is it suitable for a wet bathroom environment?
It handles normal bathroom humidity and occasional splashing. It is not intended for continuous water immersion, so it should not be used inside a shower tray or a permanently wet joint.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
Standard OEM and private label MOQ is 1,000 pcs per model, with mixed-model trial orders from 3,000 pcs total and stock items from 500 pcs. Typical lead time is 15–25 days after artwork and sample approval.
